    The following is a very brief explanation, however, those who are familiar with genealogical charts will figure it out quickly. Census data is my primary source, so spelling may differ.
     The oldest generation is to the left and each successive generation is indented to the right. Therefore, brothers and sisters are listed in the same vertical columns. I try to place numbers before each.
     Usually I chose the males name since it does not change with marriage.
     When known, multiple spouses are numbered in ( ).
   :   The location shown is the one usually affilated with the family.
      I have not tried to list all the younger children and their married mates.
   :   The following INDEX is alphabetical and linked, but the actual listings are not - I add families from time to time.

GENEALOGY of Samuel S. Johnson (Planter)
  Samuel Johnson of Great Harbor, Bahamas at age 18 came to Key West, married and settled on south Key Largo in the 1870s. The family is listed in the 1880 census of the Upper Keys. He, his wife and seven children evolved into the early community of Planter, Florida in the Harry Harris Park area which with the railroad became Tavernier, Florida.

      Job Tedder came from the Bahama Islands. Sons William and Richard shown in 1880 census on southern Key Largo. In 1882 homesteaded property in the area of mile marker 94 oceanside. The Tedder name has vanished fron the Upper Keys, however there are family members on the mainland.
